Having visited the Cape Town area in November 2008 and made the mistake of paying over the odds for a sea view in Clifton, I was keen to find somewhere quieter but still with a view of this wonderful coastline. Having looked at many alternatives, I was attracted to Amblewood by the location, fabulous views of Hout Bay and the availablility of a suite with a comfortable seating area. We were not disapointed at all by our choice. We had absolutely everything we needed to hand and waking up to the fantastic views every morning was heavenly. Trevor and June are wonderful hosts and have achived the perfect balance between helpfullness and letting you just enjoy your stay. The restaurant recommendations were brilliant and we spent a wonderful afternoon at Buitenverwachting wine estate on our way to the airport. A perfect end to a perfect holiday in South Africa.
