Amblewood Guest House is situated in Hout Bay, just a 20-minute drive south from the beautiful city of Cape Town. Surrounded by mountains and with a profusion of mature trees and shrubs, Amblewood is a tranquil escape from one's day-to-day routines.

Our six individually styled rooms are comfortable and welcoming with spectacular views of the ocean, Hout Bay harbour, the beach and the Sentinel Mountain. All rooms are en-suite with extra length beds, TVs, tea/ coffee trays, a safe and a mini-fridge.

A generous full English breakfast is served on the pool deck each morning.

The emphasis at Amblewood Guest House is on relaxation and restoration and one can lounge on the pool deck under shady umbrellas, swim in the cool waters of our pool or simply relax with a good book from our well-stocked library.

On the long summer evenings a glass of wine may be enjoyed on one's private balcony or patio while watching a vivid sunset over the Sentinel Mountain.

Tours of Cape Town and surrounding areas, car rentals and restaurant bookings can be organized and we are happy to offer information, help and advice if desired.

Hout Bay is an excellent choice for accommodation because it is centrally placed for all tourist attractions. Table Mountain is 15 minutes away along a magnificent coastal drive; Chapman's Peak Drive is five minutes away and the V&A Waterfront is just 30 minutes by car.
